3/29/23 at 7pm: Introduction to Band and Color Guard Meeting (Zoom Link below)

Dear Incoming STHS Band Freshman,

I hope that you are doing well. My name is Mr. Ramiro Sanchez and I am the Director of Bands at Santa Teresa High School. I would like to invite you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) to our “Intro to Band” meeting next week! This meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 29th beginning at 7pm in the STHS Theater. We will also be providing a Zoom option for families that would prefer to watch the meeting at home. This informational meeting is for all students attending Santa Teresa High School in the Fall and planning to participate in: Marching Band and Color Guard, Concert Band, Jazz Band/Combo, Winter Percussion Ensemble, and Winter Color Guard. Mr. Sanchez will discuss program information and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions. You are about to join one of the best band programs in the Bay area. Our 2022 Marching Band and Color Guard received the 3rd Place award at the Western Band Association 3A Class Championships in November, as well as High Color Guard for the state. Our Marching Band received the 2nd place award at the 2022 San Francisco Fleet Week Band Challenge in October and received the $6000 prize for that. We are continuously very competitive and receive high placements in the winter percussion ensemble, our 2 competitive winter guard teams, concert bands, and jazz bands in the festivals and competitions that we attend. The Santa Teresa Band program is one of the most respected music programs in the Bay area and state.
