Welcome:
STHS offers a variety of band programs for the 2026-2027 school year:
Intermediate Band – All freshmen band students. Work on fundamentals to prepare for Advanced Band.
Symphonic Band (9-12) – Audition encouraged
Wind Ensemble (10-12) – Audition only
Marching Band and Color Guard (9-12)
Guitar (9-12)
Digital Music I and II (9-12): Composition, artistic interpretation, career exploration, and the creation of a professional portfolio
STHS hosts Battle of the Bands in the spring during Music Marathon, our annual music festival fundraiser.
Band Camp
Summer Band Camp:
Our award-winning Marching Band and Color Guard program is a rewarding opportunity to work with fellow musicians and guard members to gain experience as a team in a competitive environment. This is a commitment of your time and begins with Summer Band Camp! During these two weeks, you will learn the 2026 season show music, marching performance techniques and basic drills. Join us to kickoff the exciting new season and meet new friends before the school year starts!
Summer Band Camp is a great way to meet other students in the program so you’ll already know some before the first day of school! The all-day camp will be held during the last two weeks of July.
Spring/Summer Workshops: Dates to be announced
Band Camp 1st Week: July 20 – 25, 9am – 8pm
Band Camp 2nd Week: July 27 – August 1, 9am – 8pm
Meet at the band room for the workshops and the first day of camp.
Bring: a large water bottle, hat, sunscreen, food or money for lunch/dinner breaks, comfortable clothes and shoes, and instrument/accessories (ST will provide an instrument if you do not have one).
Workshops are optional. Camp is required.
If you will miss any camp dates, a parent/guardian should contact the band director in advance so that you may be excused.
Last Day of Band Camp August 1, 2026: Mandatory parent meeting, student showcase, and a friends and family BBQ
